Atoms to Galaxies: Poetry (Open Mic) Unveiling the Wonders of Science

Date: 5/1/2024
Time: 8:00 pm – 11:00 pm

Embark on a unique journey where poetry meets science at The Columbus Poetry Cauldron’s special event! Nestled in the heart of creativity at Kafe Kerouac, we’re hosting an extraordinary Science-Themed Poetry Open Mic Night on Wednesday, May 1, from 8:00 pm to 10:30 pm.

Born from the legacy of the famous Writer’s Block Poetry show, our weekly gatherings have become a cornerstone for our vibrant community, offering a stage where approximately 30 poets, reaching up to 45 on bustling nights, share their verses with an audience of around 45 to 60 poetry enthusiasts every Wednesday.

On May 1, we invite the Columbus poetry community to explore the boundless universe of science through poetry.

As studies and luminaries like Jocelyn Bell, the discoverer of Pulsars and the 2018 winner of the Breakthrough Prize in Fundamental Physics, have shown, poetry possesses the remarkable power to communicate the wonders of science to a broader, more diverse audience. This aligns perfectly with COSI’s mission to inspire and engage people from all walks of life in the joy and discovery of science.

For just $5 admission we open our doors to a night of discovery, where science-themed poetry will illuminate the beauty of inquiry and exploration. Don’t miss this opportunity to be part of a momentous evening at The Columbus Poetry Cauldron.

We eagerly await your participation and hope to collaborate with Cauldron and COSI for an evening that promises to be as enlightening as it is enchanting. See you there!
