Test Drive a Soap Box Derby Racing Car

Test-drive a Soap Box Derby racing car down Derby Hill at Big Run Park. Everyone invited. Reservation slots taken every 15 minutes starting at 3pm. Open to boys and girls age 7-18. All drivers must have a signed waiver by their parent/guardian. We’ll provide a loaner car and instruction for the test drive. Chat with experts to learn the science of gravity drag racing including aerodynamics, triangulation, potential energy, and more. After the test drive, request a loaner car to compete in the Columbus Area Championships on June 8. A no obligation opportunity to give derby racing a try. Parking Information: Take the Big Run Park service road all the way back. Park in the gravel lot adjacent to the track. Report to the scorer’s table. Come early and watch others take their test drive.
