Trash to Treasure

Did you know that each resident in Franklin County averages 4 to 5 pounds of waste everyday? Have you ever wondered where that waste goes? Join SWACO and Grove City Parks and Recreation as we learn about the science of the landfill and make some treasures out of the trash. Learn about waste management and make an art project with Grove City Parks and Recreation Department at the SWACO Education Resource Center. You will learn about the science of the modern-day landfill and a tour to observe the operation first-hand. All activities are free, but advance registration for the landfill tours is a must to hold your seat. To register for the tour, call 614-728-9429.
