When Lama Kathy (a research subject) met Dr. Julie Brefczynski-Lewis (a research scientist) in 2007 for a series of mindfulness-and-the-brain experiments, the mindfulness movement was brand-new.Twenty years later, mindfulness is everywhere – but does it work for everyone? Join us for a lively discussion about the brain, and then learn a few simple mindfulness techniques. After the lesson, Lama Kathy and Dr. Julie will answer questions and show how mindfulness can help with everyday stresses.
